The next couple of days will stay warm and mainly dry with highs in the upper 70s today, then mid-80s Friday.
Unfortunately, big changes are on the way for Saturday as a strong cold front will be moving through the region. Expect showers and thunderstorms Saturday morning, with the rain gradually tapering off through the afternoon. The good news is, as the rain moves out, we should have less of an impact on the air show, and the fireworks will be in good shape! Around 1/2″ rainfall amounts expected, with the severe weather threat staying to our northeast.
Be ready for the temperature drop! It will be warmest in the 60s/70s Saturday morning, then falling sharply to the 50s Saturday afternoon behind the cold front. It will also be a bit breezy, so be prepared to bundle up a bit.
Next week is looking pretty quiet. Starting off cool, then warming back to the 70s by Tuesday. Patchy frost potential in our typical colder spots Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Here’s today’s weather history, countdown, and jokes.
