New Albany, IN – November 13, 2024
The New Albany Floyd County Education Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Stuber as its new Executive Director. Stuber will replace Tyler Bliss, who previously led the organization for 13 years and was recently appointed Executive Director of the Caesars Foundation of Floyd County.
With extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and development, Stuber brings a wealth of expertise to the Education Foundation as it continues to enhance and expand educational opportunities for students, teachers, and schools in Floyd County. Stuber previously served as the Trilogy Foundation’s Executive Director, leading significant fundraising and grant-making initiatives. He is also an avid volunteer, dedicating his time and talents to local organizations like Southern Indiana United Soccer Club, New Albany Parks & Recreation, and the New Albany Housing Authority.
“After an extensive search with many wonderful candidates, we are thrilled to welcome Shane to the New Albany Floyd County Education Foundation,” said Allen Platt, Board President. “We are confident Shane’s prior experiences leading a Foundation, successful fundraising, as well as his skills in developing and carrying out strategies of engagement of various stakeholders will advance the Foundation’s work to make a meaningful difference for our students.”
In his new role, Stuber will oversee all aspects of the Education Foundation, including fundraising, community engagement, and program development efforts, focusing on sustaining and growing the foundation’s impact across the community.
“I am beyond honored to be a part of an organization that is focused on teachers, students, and impact across our amazing public schools throughout Floyd County,” said Stuber.
The Education Foundation remains dedicated to enriching the educational landscape in Floyd County through initiatives like Great Classroom Grants, Mental Health Grants, Imagination Library, Blessings in a Backpack, and more. With Stuber at the helm, the Foundation looks forward to building upon the foundation’s long-standing successes in securing funds to support NAFC students and teachers.
