The first hurricane of the Atlantic tropical season will be making landfall along the Alabama/Florida Panhandle area, possibly as a strong Category 2 hurricane. The remnants of Hurricane Isaias will spread rain our way into the Ohio Valley late Saturday through Sunday. This will likely cut some vacations short for fall breakers along the Gulf Coast.
Below are some of the latest forecast maps from the National Hurricane Center along with the model data. This will be beneficial rainfall for our area with up to an inch in some locations. Winds could get a bit breezy as the system moves through late Saturday into Sunday, but severe weather isn’t expected.
So far, it looks like we’ll be back to quiet weather for much of our next workweek.
