After a busy Monday night, we’ll have another round of showers and storms tonight. The severe weather threat is lower, but an additional 1-2″ of rainfall will be possible. The higher severe weather threat will stay off to our southwest (NWS briefing slides below).
As for today, most areas will be dry, pleasant, and becoming partly sunny through this afternoon. West winds at 5-15 mph, highs in the upper 70s.
The maps below show the future radar with HRRR weather model at midnight and 10AM Wednesday morning. After the heavy rain overnight, we’ll still have some spotty lingering showers Wednesday morning, before drying out and turning cooler Wednesday afternoon.
The rest of our Derby Week will be mostly dry and cool. A few light rain showers possible for Oaks on Friday with a weak cold front moving through the region.
Today’s weather history, countdown, and jokes.
