If you like warm sunshine, you’ll love our weather today! Sunny, with a highs in the lower 80s. Temperatures are trending about 10° above normal for this time of year.

Southeast wind 5-10 mph. Mostly clear and a bit milder tonight with lows near 60°.

As high pressure moves off to the east, this will allow for a few showers and storms to pop-up Thursday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will stay near 80°.
A stationary front will be just off to the north Friday, and be close enough for a higher chance of scattered showers and storms, especially during the afternoon and through the late night hours. Rainfall totals Friday will be around 1/2″ to 1″, so no significant flooding is expected. Severe weather is also not expected Thursday or Friday.

The rain will clear out by sunrise Saturday, and this will leave our weekend dry and pleasant with highs in the lower to mid-70s. Derby Week starts off very warm with highs in the 80s and mainly dry Monday and Tuesday. Unsettled weather could return Wednesday through Friday for Derby Week – stay tuned!

Have a wonderful Wednesday! – Meteorologist Ben Peine
