After the morning rain, it’s looking like we’ll have some decent dry time this afternoon with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. A wind from the south at 5-15 mph. The first map below shows our dry window this afternoon, then more showers and storms as we head toward sunset. A few storms could be strong, especially west of I-65.
The Storm Prediction Center has our area in Level 1 out of 5 (Marginal Risk) of severe storms for later today/evening. A few storms could pack hail and gusty winds.
More scattered showers and a few storms are likely for much of the day Thursday with highs in the upper 60s.
As for the rest of the week, Friday is looking mainly dry and very warm. In fact, a record warm high of 80° is expected. The old record was set just three years ago, 78° in 2023.
A front will move through the region with more scattered showers and storms on Saturday. So far, Sunday and Monday are looking mainly dry before more rain chances return next Tuesday into Wednesday.
