CHARLESTOWN, IN – The Grand Opening for The Commons, a vibrant, outdoor event space that expands the City Square in Charlestown, is set for Friday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m.
Located at 815 Short Street (near the City Square), The Commons is a City of Charlestown redevelopment project enhancing our downtown area. This project was partially funded by a Patronicity crowd-sourcing campaign where the community supported the pergola/parklet section of the space. A few recent images are attached.
The city’s annual Food Truck Challenge will follow the Grand Opening, so stick around for music from The Rigby’s and plenty of food options!
