The Caesars Foundation of Floyd County awarded $400,000 to 33 charitable organizations supporting Floyd County residents during its Spring grant awards ceremony at Indiana University Southeast on Wednesday. The Foundation’s Grants Committee and Board of Directors reviewed over $835,000 in requests in categories of health, human services, arts, education, and community development.

The following organizations were awarded grants:
Addictions N Me is receiving $5,000 to expand the innovative Wrap-Around Chair Initiative to serve individuals and families who are transitioning from incarceration, recovery, homelessness, or personal crisis.
Camp Golden Wing is receiving $5,000 to provide a summer camp experience for children who are experiencing cancer in Floyd County.
Archery Safe Shooters 4-H Club is receiving $5,152 to fund new bows and new safety equipment.
Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site is receiving $5,801 to partially fund the South Monon Freedom Trail Culbertson Waystation, which invites users to enter the Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site.
Central Christian Church New Albany is receiving $6,500 to provide a hot meal Wednesday of each week for the residents of Muir Manor.
Purdue Cooperative Extension Service is receiving $6,500 to host the Food Is Medicine program that combines evidence-based health education with grocery provisions & incentives to support health behavior change and disease prevention.
StageOne Family Theatre is receiving $7,500 to fund the Play It Forward program which removes barriers to student success by providing free theatre experiences that increase learning potential.
Thrive RCO is receiving $7,800 to expand evening peer support hours, provide transportation assistance, and conduct community outreach to increase access to peer support for working adults in Floyd County.
Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is receiving $8,500 to support the 54th Annual Festival of the Arts.
Family & Children’s Place is receiving $8,550 to support Hazelwood Middle School students who face barriers, including food insecurity, limited access to educational enrichment resources, and economic hardship.
Clark County Juvenile Detention Center is receiving $9,000 to fund the Kentucky Shakespeare program that offers arts-based instruction and conflict resolution.
Waterfront Botanical Gardens is receiving $9,950 to provide New Albany Floyd County Schools’ 2nd-grade students with field trips aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards focused on pollination.
Lincoln Heritage Council, Boy Scouts of America is receiving $10,000 to expand equitable access to Scouting by covering participation costs for elementary-aged youth.
Habitat of Clark Floyd Indiana is receiving $10,000 to partially fund the building of a home on Dennison Ave in New Albany to provide stable, affordable housing.
Blue River Services is receiving $10,000 to provide matching funds to the Southern Indiana Transit System to continue offering safe, reliable public transportation throughout Floyd County.
Family Community Clinic is receiving $10,000 to expand access to diagnostic imaging for uninsured residents of Floyd County.
Have a Heart Clinic is receiving $10,500 to provide life-saving cardiovascular care and wraparound services to uninsured individuals.
Louisville Visual Art is receiving $11,000 to continue Children’s Fine Art Classes for middle school and elementary school groups in Floyd County.
Hispanic Connection of Southern Indiana is receiving $11,797 to provide a 14-week course to prepare Legal Permanent Residents for their citizenship interview.
Floyd County Indiana Community Corrections is receiving $12,500 to reduce recidivism by providing tracking for clients ordered to home incarceration in Floyd County.
New Albany Floyd County Education Foundation is receiving $12,500 to support Great Classroom Projects to teachers in New Albany Floyd County classrooms.
Tony Bennett Memorial Foundation is receiving $13,500 to serve families affected by the suicide of a loved one.
Christian Formation Ministries is receiving $15,000 to support Floyd County children who have experienced incarceration in attending a week at Camp Kerith and receiving after-school mentoring through Kerith Kids.
YMCA of Greater Louisville is receiving $15,000 to expand access to before and after-school care for children whose families are impacted by reduced state childcare vouchers.
Hope Southern Indiana is receiving $15,000 to support the Emergency Services Program, which provides vital financial assistance, food, and essential items to individuals and families facing economic crises.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana is receiving $15,000 to empower Floyd County youth to achieve their full potential through vital mentorship.
Clark County Youth Shelter and Family Services is receiving $15,895 to expand its current Parent Education classes.
Floyd County Community Action Agency is receiving $17,250 to fund the addition of a sunshade to an existing play structure.
Louisville Ballet is receiving $20,000 to bring the benefits of dance education to New Albany Floyd County Elementary Schools.
Friends of the Town Clock Church is receiving $20,000 to make the historic Underground Railroad Town Cock Church accessible by adding a wheelchair lift and handicapped-accessible doors to the building.
Let us Learn is receiving $20,000 to scale the Pay-As-You-Can Farmstand, meet growing needs, support local farmers, and expand access to fresh food with dignity.
The BreakAway is receiving $24,805 to open a second program home and renovate it to ensure safety, accessibility, and dignity for the women they serve.
Centerstone is receiving $25,000 to provide school-based mental health support to Floyd County students, helping children build essential coping and life skills regardless of their ability to pay.
