We’ll have plenty of rain chances over the next week as a front stalls out over the region.
It will stay summer-like through Tuesday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°. Most areas will stay dry today, but some storms could clip parts of Southern Indiana closer to Paoli and Bedford (maps below) later today and this evening. South winds today at 10-20 mph, so a bit breezy. Showers possible tonight with lows in the lower 70s.
A front will slowly approach our area Tuesday with showers possible in the morning, but a higher chance of showers and storms late Tuesday into Tuesday night. Some storms could be strong to severe with isolated damaging wind and hail possible. Up to around an inch of rain possible over the next couple of days. The Storm Prediction Center has Southern Indiana under a Slight Risk of Severe Storms.
The front will stall out just south of our area the rest of this week, but stay close enough to give us daily chances of showers.
Here’s today’s weather history, countdown, and jokes.
