Our weather will stay just about perfect for late June today with sunshine, low humidity, lower 80s and a light breeze. Partly cloudy with lows in the 60s tonight.
It will begin to get more humid tomorrow as a front approaches the region and this will lead to some afternoon pop-up showers and storms Thursday.
Heavier rounds of rain are expected late Thursday night through Saturday. No surprise if we see a Flood Watch for our area soon. The overall severe weather threat during this time looks pretty low, but we could be dealing with torrential downpours and localized flooding.
The front begins to lift north on Sunday and this opens the door to a heat wave for next week. The heat index will likely climb over 100° for much next week. Summer is kicking in!
