Below normal temperatures will continue through the rest of our Derby Week with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Derby Day will be our coolest with highs only near 60°. Thankfully, the rest of this week will also be mostly dry.
It’s a terrific Thurby Thursday with sunshine, a light north wind, and highs in the mid-60s (about 10° below normal for this time of year).
A weak cold front will be moving through with perhaps a few sprinkles for Oaks Friday morning, but most areas will be dry. Highs in the lower 60s, with a northwest breeze at 5-15 mph.
The jackets will be keep it comfortable for the Kentucky Derby with temperatures about 15° below normal Saturday in the 50s much of the day. A north breeze at 5-10 mph.
We could see low temps in the upper 30s Saturday night, so a touch of frost possible in outlying areas early Sunday morning.
Next week is looking unsettled with several rain chances, especially Tuesday through Thursday.
