Spring is in the air with well above normal temperatures in the 70s and 80s this weekend! (The spring season was official with the vernal equinox at 10:46 am, when the sun’s rays are directly over the equator, with nearly equal day and night)
Enjoy the sunshine and 70s today with a southwest breeze at 10-15 mph. Seasonably cool tonight with lows in the 50s. More 70s tomorrow, then 80s on Sunday! The only thing that might bother you is the high levels of tree pollen. It’s the reason for the sneezin’!
A cold front will move through Sunday night with a chance of showers and storms. The Storm Prediction Center currently has our area under a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) of Severe Storms Sunday night.
Overall, our first seven days of springtime is looking fairly quiet and mostly dry. A bit cooler early next week, then warming back up.
Here’s today’s weather history, countdown, and jokes.
