If your yard is like mine, you need the rain! Most locations have had very little rain over the last week.
A front is getting closer to the region today and this will help spark spotty pop-up showers and storms. All of the high-resolution weather models have at least hit-or-miss activity late afternoon into the early evening. If you get a storm, severe weather is not expected, although locally very heavy rainfall and lightning is possible.

Tomorrow’s weather will be similar, muggy with pop-up showers and storms.

After Wednesday, high pressure begins to build back into the region, giving us mainly dry and hot weather for Thursday and the rest of this week. No significant changes to our hot pattern through the middle of next week. We’re hoping for some big relief perhaps by the following weekend, around the 23/24th of August.

Have a great rest of your week! Good luck getting that rain today or tomorrow! -Meteorologist Ben Peine
