Our weather pattern for rest of this week will be pretty quiet with most areas staying dry. There’s just less than a 10% chance of a very isolated afternoon pop-up shower.
This time of year is known as the dog days of summer, or the summer doldrums, meaning there isn’t much going on. There are no storm systems in sight to give our region a widespread chance of rain.
While it has been a great growing season with all the rain this year, farm fields and yards will start to dry out. You may have a start turning on the sprinklers.

We may start to see a better chance of rain by the middle of next week. In the meantime, keep cool out there with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s, pretty close to normal for this time of year. Great weather to be by a body of water, like the lake, beach, pool, or creek!

Have a great rest of your week and weekend. -Meteorologist Ben Peine
