After a couple more hot days, we’ll start to transition back to normal temperatures mid-week, then below normal temperatures this weekend! So, if you’re tired of the excessive heat and humidity, some relief is not too far off.
As for today, it will be mostly sunny with highs in the 90s. Muggier for areas west of I-65. Light breeze from the east/northeast. We’re also seeing the pollen levels in the high zone, as we head into peak ragweed season.

A front is expected to move into the region Tuesday night into Wednesday, bringing a chance of spotty showers and storms. Severe weather is not expected. Temperatures will likely drop to the upper 80s Wednesday, then the humidity will begin to fall Thursday.

We’ll be in the mid-upper 80s Wednesday through Saturday, then lower 80s likely Sunday into early next week. A cooler shot of air will likely arrive Sunday and we may even see low temperatures down to the 50s early next week.
The Climate Prediction Center has above normal chances for below normal temperatures for the last week of August.

Hang on for a little while longer, and we then we should get a little taste of fall-like conditions next week.

Make it a great week! -Meteorologist Ben Peine
