Temperatures today will be warming well into the 50s and 60s across the region – the warmest since January 9th. This warm-up comes ahead of a cold front that will bring a few light rain showers late today and into the evening. Most of the rain will end up in Kentucky.
So, the forecast for today is highs in the lower 60s, increasing clouds, and a southwest breeze at 10-15 mph. Showers mainly in Kentucky tonight, then drying out overnight with lows near freezing.
Wednesday and Thursday are looking quiet with normal chilly temperatures.
Temperatures will head back to the 50s this weekend. Some of the models bring in rain late Saturday night into Sunday morning, but there has been a southern shift in this system. If it keeps tracking farther south, we’ll end up drier. Overall, a pretty quiet outlook into mid-February with another significant warm-up next week!
