June 9 • Match Cigar Bar in New Albany
Jeff and Sara Mouttet hosted the grand opening of Match Cigar Bar’s newest location in New Albany. Julian Van Winkle and Jonathan Drew were on hand to mingle and educate attendees about an unreleased cigar crafted for Pappy Van Winkle. Guests enjoyed a lively evening as they ushered in the city’s newest hotspot.
Southern Indiana REALTORS® Association (SIRA) held its annual Induction/Awards Gala Dec. 9 at Horseshoe Southern Indiana in Elizabeth. During the event, all new 2017 officers and directors were sworn in, including Sara White, 2017 president; Rosemary Trinkle, past president; Vince Hopper, 2017 president-elect; and Karen McCartin-Foster, treasurer/secretary.
The new 2017 Board of Directors include Julie Dulaney, Jill Finnegan, Chris Goodman, Diana Mayfield, Barbara Shaw, Kyle Wohrle, Kathi Combs-Byrd, Tracey Long-Jones and Vince Vissing. Additionally, SIRA named Bill Burns of ReMax First as the 2016 REALTOR® of the Year.
2016 REALTOR® Hall of Fame inductees were Diana Mayfield, Diana Miller and Barbara Shaw; 2016 REALTOR® Emeritus are Warren Nash and Barbara Sanders. The awards recognize members who have dedicated their lives to the real estate profession, upholding the National Association of REALTORS® strict code of ethics, along with sincere and personal commitment to their communities, customers and clients.

Friday January 20 marked the night of One Southern Indiana’s event, in partnership with Ideology for an expose on how to get more sales this year than last year. Attendees learned how to acquire more profitable customers or clients.
