What if I told you that we had something similar to the show “Millionaire Matchmaker” right here in Southern Indiana? Would you believe me? If you were single, would you want to try it out?
Well let me introduce Southern Indiana to Amanda Rose, founder and CEO of the Dating Boutique and Amanda Rose Matchmaking. I had the opportunity to meet Amanda one week night at The Exchange in downtown New Albany for a little chit-chat about dating and love. First let me tell you a little bit about her company.
The Dating Boutique is a unique website for all things about life and love. It offers life and date-coaching sessions, singles events, makeovers, and even a private Facebook group. It also gives women the opportunity to join the complimentary database and the potential to date one of its exclusive clients. Amanda Rose Matchmaking is the matchmaking and dating agency of her company. In order to be chosen to be a part of this exclusive database, everyone goes through a screening process, which includes a background check and interview. All potential clients then meet the staff by either Skype or in person just to be sure they are legit. After this process, the staff determines whether that person is a good fit for the agency. Now, once they get the OK, then the agency hand selects screened dates for them. These are selected by personality styles, physical attraction, life goals, values, and so on and so forth. This process is what makes this dating agency stand out from all of the other dating websites – it is personalized. Now, of course, a fee comes with this exclusive membership and for that info you will need to contact her yourself. I know it comes with a pretty hefty price tag, but don’t let that stand in your way of finding love. If Tinder, Match.com, eHarmony, or plentyoffish.com aren’t working out for you, then maybe this is what you need – like me. Yes, I’m going to give it a try.
Amanda is just like you and me – a normal girl who’s trying to find love, which I think she has found, even if it is the second time around for her. When we met for cocktails at The Exchange, we talked about her story and background as well as mine. (She is a fan of my articles, I might add, which was pretty cool to hear.) Talking with her was like talking with some of my best friends about dating: supportive, intelligent, and there to tell you to keep on keeping on.
I can’t say I have been on any dates here lately – I think I am in a dating rut right now, but at the same time I don’t really care one way or the other. I am always being told, “It will happen when I least expect it.” So here is to expecting the worst (spending the winter alone) and hoping for the best (spending time with someone I am excited about seeing and us getting to know each other over red wine and fires in the fireplace). A girl can dream. And, thankfully, now I have Amanda Rose – and Amanda Rose Matchmaking – in my corner. Wish me luck!
