Thanks to the storms last night and early this morning, it looks like most areas will get a break this afternoon, with mostly dry conditions. All areas will stay very, very muggy.
Highs today will be in the lower 90s, feeling like around 100°. Southwest wind at 10-15 mph. The good news, the pollen report remains low. Humid tonight with lows in the 70s.

A front will draw near to the area tomorrow afternoon and is expected to spark scattered showers and thunderstorms. While severe weather is not expected, we’ll need to start watching out for flooding issues with more daily downpours for the rest of this week.

The steamy and occasionally stormy weather pattern continues through early next week. The long-range data suggest an upper-level ridge will build over the region by the middle of next week, which would promote hotter and drier conditions.

Now, the long, long range data suggests there’s potential for a cool-down around Sunday, the 27th of July. However, that’s a “believe it, when I see it” scenario. As we know, things can really change that far out, but at least there’s some hope down the road.
