Whether (pun intended) we like or not (probably not), we are going to have to battle another summer heat wave which will likely last through at least the middle of next.
We’re talking high temperatures in the mid-90s, with the heat index well over 100° beginning Thursday.
Today will be very hot, but the humidity isn’t too terrible just yet. We do have a Code Orange Air Quality Alert today for Sensitive Groups. If you have asthma or other breathing issues, you may want to spend more time indoors.

Other than the heat, what may also bother you is the increasing weed pollen this time of year.

Sadly, today is our last 9 PM sunsets, as we continue to gradually lose daylight. Thursday’s sunset will be at 8:59 PM.

With the extreme heat, we’ll have limited chances of rain relief. Only a few isolated pop-up afternoon showers and storms are expected. So, mostly dry conditions overall.

Take care and try to keep cool!
