Designation recognizes Indiana employers leading in workforce development
NEW ALBANY, IN (March 2026) – Cimtech was among the Indiana employers recognized as a Workforce First Employer by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. This designation honors employers that demonstrate leadership in workforce development and long-term talent investment. The Institute for Workforce Excellence, a subsidiary of the Indiana Chamber, operates the recognition program.
Workforce First honors employers that commit to building a strong, sustainable workforce through efforts such as upskilling employees; offering internships, co-ops, and other learn-on-the-job opportunities; providing high-quality jobs and wages; and partnering with workforce boards and schools.
“Talent is the lifeblood of our economy, which is why it’s so critical for employers to act as co-developers of the workforce alongside education providers,” says Vanessa Green Sinders, president and CEO of the Indiana Chamber. “We created the Workforce First program to recognize and honor employers who are doing their part to help employees—and thereby their companies and the state—thrive.”
To qualify for the designation, employers are evaluated across multiple focus areas, including work-based learning, upskilling and reskilling, Team Member support, and collaboration with workforce partners. Cimtech has been deemed a champion in recognition of its well-established programs to cultivate talent on which the company will continue to build.
As a proud Indiana manufacturer celebrating 50 years of manufacturing excellence, this award highlights Cimtech’s deep roots in the Hoosier state.
“Being named a Workforce First Employer reflects our belief that investing in people is essential to our company’s success,” said Jerod Young, Team Member, COO. “For five decades, Cimtech has thrived because of the skill and dedication of our team. This designation affirms our commitment to building career pathways, preparing our workforce for the future, and being a good corporate citizen in Indiana.”
Jesika Young, Team Member, CEO, added: “Building a sustainable manufacturing workforce isn’t just about filling roles today; it’s about investing in the potential of our people for tomorrow. We are incredibly proud of our team and remain committed to providing the tools and environment they need to grow alongside us.”
