We’re all tired of it… the rain, the clouds, and the cool temperatures! Thankfully, we just need to get through a damp and dreary Monday, then our weather conditions begin to improve.
Plan for scattered light rain and drizzle, clouds, and high temperatures in the upper 50s today (about 15° below normal). Rainfall amounts will be very low today, generally less than a tenth of an inch.

By late tonight, the upper-level low pressure system will begin to move off to the northeast, and this will finally take the rain away from Southern Indiana. Notice, the rain to our northeast by Tuesday morning on the map below.

So, finally we’ll have a dry day Tuesday. Tomorrow is looking partly sunny and a bit milder with highs near 70°.
Another upper-level system could bring a few light rain showers mainly west of I-65 Wednesday in Kentucky, but most of our area should stay dry with highs in the mid-70s. A cold front is expected to move through Thursday with a few showers possible. Rainfall totals all week though are very light. Let’s cross our fingers, so far Friday through this weekend look all dry.

With dry weather and sunshine expected, a gradually warming trend is likely, climbing back to near 80° as we head into next week. Looking fantastic for Mother’s Day Sunday!
