A quickly-moving clipper system will bring a batch of accumulating snowfall tonight. We have a Winter Weather Advisory for much of the area (especially Metro Louisville and north) from 7 PM this evening until 7 AM Friday morning. 1-4″ snowfall amounts are likely, with slick roads early Friday. Treated main roads will likely be in decent shape, but untreated county and neighborhood roads will likely be snow-covered for our Friday morning commute.

The snow will be moving out by around sunrise Friday and road conditions will improve quickly with above freezing temperatures.
Frigid air is on the way this weekend with more light snow possible Saturday. Light accumulations possible in similar areas as tonight. Lows in the single digits with highs only in the teens Sunday!
A warmer pattern begins by the middle of next week, which could continue through Christmas Week.
