Let’s all be extra weather aware today with the potential of strong to severe storms firing up later this afternoon and into the evening. The highest threat will likely be over parts of Southern Indiana. The Storm Prediction Center has our region under a Slight Risk of Severe Storms today.

There are plenty of severe weather ingredients coming together as a warm front will be moving up and through our area. The main threat will likely be from 3 PM to 9 PM, with all the severe weather threats on the table – damaging wind, hail, heavy rain, frequent lightning, and tornadoes. Be prepared to seek shelter if a warning is issued for your area.

Stay safe!
Our weather will quiet down and cool down this weekend. Back to chilly conditions and perhaps some flurries Sunday.
