A cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to Southern Indiana today. The severe weather threat will be very low, but a few thunderstorms could produce locally heavy rain, lightning, hail and gusty winds.
The showers and storms will likely become more widespread across the region during mid-afternoon through early evening. The maps below are at 2 PM and 6 PM.


The Storm Prediction Center has our area under the lowest level severe weather risk category today, with a Slight Risk (level 2) to our south.

Temperatures will reach the 70s today with a northeast breeze at 5-10 mph. Gradually clearing out tonight with lows near 50°.
It’s shaping up to be a marvelous Mother’s Day weekend, with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. We can expect highs near 70° Friday, low-mid 70s Saturday, and upper 70s for Mother’s Day Sunday. Great weather to plant all of the those flowers for mom!
The next chance for showers will arrive with the next upper-level low pressure system Monday into Tuesday.
