It’s pretty much a washout today, with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms through this evening. The rain will add up to around an inch in many locations. The severe threat will stay low – level 1 out of 5 from the Storm Prediction Center. The small threat of a brief spin-up tornado stays just off to the southwest of Louisville Metro.


Plan on plenty of rain this afternoon and evening as you can see on the maps below. Occasional heavy downpours and rumbles of thunder can be expected, with the potential of small hail.


The rain will taper off late tonight, and we could be left with a little mist at times tomorrow, but Wednesday will be mostly dry.



A stationary front will set up over the region and bring back more waves of rain Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning. Severe weather is not expected.
Drier weather Saturday afternoon through Monday afternoon. Another system could bring more rain next Tuesday into Wednesday.
