Most of our area picked up 1-3″ of snowfall early Friday morning, with some spots up to 4-5″. Most roads will be in good shape as the wet snow melts with upper 30s this afternoon. More light snow is likely late Saturday afternoon and evening.

Quiet, chilly, and mostly cloudy for the rest of today with a light breeze from the northeast at 5 mph.

The next clipper system will bring light snow to areas mainly along and north of I-64 late Saturday afternoon and into the evening. This system could track a little farther north, so lighter amounts are expected. Many locations in Southern Indiana could pick up another 1-2″ by Saturday night.

Then, it’s the Polar Blast! Subzero wind chills are expected Saturday night into Sunday morning. Highs Sunday will only reach the teens. The coldest weather since last January. Lows Sunday night will in the single digits.

We’ll thaw out next week with rain chances returning Thursday. A mild pattern could continue through our Christmas Week.
