Night of Impact
Sellersburg – Gold, Glamour, and Giving was the theme of Ivy Tech Sellersburg’s annual Night of Impact, honoring NWSB for the bank’s generous contributions to the campus and community. The celebration shone a spotlight on NWSB’s dedication to opportunity, growth, and the lasting impact of giving back.
Ivy Tech Sellersburg Chancellor Dr. Travis Haire says NWSB has a long history of supporting Southern Indiana’s community. “Since its founding, NWSB has been more than a trusted financial institution: It has been a cornerstone of this community. Families and businesses have looked to them for stability, and time and time again, they have reinvested that trust back into the people and the community they serve.”

NWSB CEO Pat Daily says he and NWSB President Syd Whitlock were overwhelmed when they found out about the Night of Impact award. “You know, one thing we never expect and that’s being honored for what we do. It’s really profound, and we’re really grateful to be able to accept this award tonight.”
Dr. Haire says NWSB funded the newly-renovated student atrium in Ivy Tech’s Pfau Hall.

The classy, 1920s themed event was held in the middle of Ivy Tech Sellersburg’s Schleicher Family Quad, featuring bourbon tasting, a 3-piece band, and ring performers.

About NWSB: On March 6, 1908, the original New Washington State Bank opened on Main Street in New Washington, Ind. The Bank was founded by a group of 10 prominent business leaders and farmers who felt New Washington and the surrounding farming communities would be better served with a bank of their own. From our humble beginning in 1908, New Washington State Bank – now known as NWSB – has branches in the surrounding communities of Henryville, Charlestown, Borden, Jeffersonville, Sellersburg, Scottsburg, River Ridge, New Albany, and – soon – Floyds Knobs. As a local bank, all decisions are made here in Southern Indiana, and customers enjoy the personal banking relationships.
