It’s almost like an early autumn tease, with low humidity and lower 80s this weekend.
For the first time this summer, Louisville’s official weather observation station at Muhammad Ali International Airport recorded a low temperature in the 60s. This incredibly long stretch of muggy weather has finally taken a break.

Mostly clear and cool tonight with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Some of the coolest weather we’ve had since mid-June, before summer started.
Next week the humidity will rise back to normal August levels, but not excessive. As the humidity rises, we’ll have a daily chance of a few afternoon pop-up showers and storms for our next workweek.

Have a great weekend! -Meteorologist Ben Peine
