February 25th, 2017 will mark the 5th annual Gravy Cup to benefit Boys & Girls haven. At this event over 30 local professional chefs and weekend warriors will descend upon Mellwood Arts Center (1860 Mellwood Avenue, Louisville, KY , 40206) with their finest competition level biscuits and gravy to compete for the Ultimate title of Overall Champion!
This years event will be at Mellwood Arts Center from 11am – 2pm on February 25th. Admission is $15 and proceeds benefit Boys and Girls Haven.
Just like chili, hot wings and BBQ, everyone thinks THEIR’S is the BEST but… they haven’t had a chance to compete! NOW they do, all while benefiting Louisville’s Boys and Girls Haven! The contestants will be divided into 3 categories: traditional (pork sausage roux), non-traditional (brown, red-eye, chorizo etc… ) and vegetarian. Previous judges have included Chef Edward Lee, Chef Dallas McGarity and former NFL wide receiver Mario Urrutia. This year we are promise a wonderful surprise chef at the judges table!
