New Albany, Ind. (February 8, 2017) – Bill Boso, longtime director and administrator of the Progressive Care Unit at Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital, has been appointed Executive Director of the hospital. Boso will assume the responsibility for daily on-site operations and management of the hospital.

“Bill’s leadership over the Progressive Care Unit for the past 10 years, as well as his experience and education in health care administration, will be a tremendous strength as he helps to lead SIRH in the coming years,” said Cathy Spalding, vice president of operations, Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital. “We are fortunate that someone of his caliber is able to smoothly transition into this role.”

Boso joined Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital’s senior leadership team in 2007 as Director and Administrator of the sub-acute rehabilitation unit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Boso brings to the position over 19 years of health management experience. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, which is a professional who is well versed in the Lean Six Sigma Methodology and leads complex improvement projects.

Boso is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Southern Indiana and a member of the LSI Engage Charter Class of 2014. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and also serves as president-elect of the Jeffersonville Rotary board.

Outside of the hospital, Boso enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, boating and camping with his family.
