At last, we have sunshine and milder air returning to Southern Indiana today!
The cut-off upper-level low pressure system that has plagued our area with rain the last several days has finally moved off to the northeast. Expect high temperatures near 70° with a mostly sunny sky, and a light west wind at 5-10 mph.

With the drier air, tree and grass pollen will gradually increase once again.

Tonight will be mostly clear and cool with lows in the 50s. With a light wind, and high ground moisture, we could have a bit of valley fog once again as well.

Now, the next chance of rain will arrive Thursday, especially Thursday afternoon as a cold front moves through the Ohio Valley. No severe weather is expected, but a few garden-variety storms will be possible. Rainfall totals of .25″ or less likely, so just light rainfall totals.

The front will move south, so we can expect sunshine with temperatures a bit cooler Friday in the upper 60s. So far, this weekend is on track to be pretty nice for all the Moms! Mother’s Day weekend should warm up to the mid-upper 70s with plenty of sunshine.
The next upper-level low pressure system could bring rain chances next Monday and Tuesday.
