Our daytimes will be mainly dry now through this weekend, but we could have a couple stormy nights, especially late Friday night.
Today will be mostly dry and seasonably warm with highs in the lower 80s. Partly sunny, south wind at 5-10 mph. A mini-warm front will arrive late today and into the evening with perhaps an isolated shower (20%).
Tonight will be mainly dry, partly cloudy and summer-like with lows in the mid-upper 60s.

Thursday will be dry during the day and likely our warmest so far this year, with highs soaring to the upper 80s, 10° above normal for this time of year. As a weak front approaches the region Thursday night, a few thunderstorms will be possible. A few of these storms could linger into Friday morning, especially in Kentucky. The map below is Friday morning.

However, it’s Friday night that we’ll need to be most weather aware, as severe storms will be possible. The Storm Prediction Center has our area under a Level 2 (Slight Risk) of Severe Storms for Friday night. I do think this level will be elevated over the next couple of days. All severe hazards could be on the table, including damaging wind, large hail, and isolated tornadoes.

The storms should move off to the south before sunrise Saturday, leaving most of our weekend nice and dry. Right now, I’m not real confident in the weather model data for early next week, but they are hinting at some cooler conditions.
