Sellersburg McDonald’s Celebrates New Ownership
Sellersburg, IN. (June 11, 2025) – The McDonald’s located at 102 Enterprise Way in Sellersburg has been under new ownership beginning in May. Stephanie Becker, the store’s new owner/operator, has been working for McDonald’s since 1999, where she began as a crewmember.
“McDonald’s has been creating opportunities for me all my life. I bonded with my grandfather during our weekly after-school visits to the Golden Arches. Chicken Nugget Happy Meals were my food-of-choice throughout my childhood,” said Becker. “To this day, the taste of McNuggets fills my heart with joy and nostalgia for the years gone by.”
When Becker turned sixteen and it was time to get a job, she only applied to one place– her local McDonald’s. She received tuition assistance from McDonald’s Archways to Opportunity program while attending college, where she was able to complete her degree and become a first-generation college graduate. What started out as a way to cover basic expenses had eventually become her lifelong career. Becker even found love while attending a McDonald’s event sixteen years ago, where she met her husband, Ryan. In their personal time, they like to travel, go to the movies, and do rescue work with the local animal shelter.
“We instantly connected over our shared love for the brand and its values,” she said. “We’ve been supporting each other ever since.”
At her new restaurant, Becker hopes to create memorable experiences for every guest. She plans to start hosting family nights in July, and will be available to host digital fundraisers with local schools and teams.
“Our vision is to become the destination restaurant within our community, where everyone feels at home and part of our McFamily. We are committed to embodying our core values of service, community, integrity, family, and inclusion in everything we do.”
Becker has worked a number of positions in McDonald’s restaurants, from General Manager to Area Supervisor. She has also in various field service positions, including as a business consultant, field marketing manager, and as a field operations lead. Becker has received awards for her exemplary work with McDonald’s, including the Outstanding General Manager award, Ray Kroc award, Outstanding Operations Contributor, and the Women Rise Together award.
“Over the past 26 years, I have learned valuable lessons, built confidence, sharpened my skills, and forged lifelong friendships. These experiences have greatly impacted my career and personal growth,” Becker said. “Now, as a proud owner of a local McDonald’s franchise, I aim to provide similar opportunities for my family, our restaurant team, and the Sellersburg community.”
