Teacher Supply Bus rolls into Jeffersonville Sept. 6 for first stop of season
Jeffersonville, Ind. (Sept. 1, 2022) – The Greater Clark County Schools Educational Foundation Teacher Supply Bus will make its first stop of the season at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at Jeffersonville High School, 2315 Allison Lane.
Principal Pam Hall has eagerly awaited the arrival of the bus, said the foundation’s Executive Director Emily Oliver-Jones. “With so many of the teachers spending money out of their own pocket for school supplies for students, the bus is a way to offset some of these expenses,” she said. “There are numerous back-to-school supply drives for students, which are wonderful and imperative, but this one is for our educators.”
Local businesses, churches, and organizations in the Southern Indiana community have collected over 20,000 school supply items to help meet the need. The Greater Clark County Educational Foundation partners with Amazon and other local businesses to make the initiative possible.
Aramark will provide lunch for those who attend. Media is welcome and appreciated.
